Building a Sustainable Future Through Collective Action
It is my privilege to present the Annual Report of Food Aid Foundation (FAF), a reflection of our continued commitment towards building a more sustainable and inclusive society.
Over the years, FAF has grown from a food rescue organisation into a broader social impact organisation that addresses two interconnected challenges — food insecurity and food waste. Through our work, surplus resources are transformed into meaningful support for communities, while contributing towards a more responsible and sustainable food ecosystem.
The impact of FAF extends beyond the distribution of food. It represents the power of collaboration between corporations, volunteers, community organisations, government agencies, and individuals who believe that collective action can create lasting change.
As Chairman, I believe that strong governance, accountability, and responsible stewardship are essential in ensuring that FAF continues to grow with purpose. Every contribution entrusted to us carries the expectation that it will be managed responsibly and translated into meaningful impact.
In an environment where communities continue to face evolving challenges, including rising costs of living, environmental concerns, and increasing social needs, the work of FAF remains highly relevant. Addressing these challenges requires not only immediate assistance, but also sustainable solutions, innovation, and long-term partnerships.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our Board, management team, staff, volunteers, donors, and partners for their unwavering commitment. The achievements reflected in this report are a testament to what can be accomplished when people come together with a shared vision.
Moving forward, FAF remains committed to strengthening its impact, expanding collaborations, and continuing to build a food system where resources are valued, communities are supported, and no opportunity to create positive change is overlooked.

A Purpose That Continues to Grow
When Food Aid Foundation (FAF) began its journey, it was founded on a simple belief — that good food should not go to waste when there are communities that need support.
That belief continues to guide us today.
What started as an effort to rescue surplus food has grown into a wider mission to improve access to food, support vulnerable communities, promote sustainability, and create opportunities for people to become more resilient.
While food assistance remains at the heart of FAF’s work, our vision has always been bigger than providing immediate relief. We believe that meaningful change happens when communities are supported with dignity, compassion, and opportunities to grow.
This is why FAF continues to expand its efforts beyond food distribution — from supporting families, welfare homes, and vulnerable communities, to empowering individuals through skills development, knowledge sharing, and community-based programmes.
Looking back at FAF’s journey, I am reminded that an organisation is built not only by its founders, but by every person who chooses to believe in the mission. Our progress has been made possible through the dedication of our team, volunteers, partners, donors, and supporters who continue to stand alongside us.
The challenges surrounding hunger, food waste, and sustainability require more than individual efforts. They require a movement — one built on collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility.
I am grateful to everyone who has contributed to this journey. Every donation, every volunteer hour, every partnership, and every act of kindness has helped shape FAF into what it is today.

The work of Food Aid Foundation (FAF) is driven by one commitment — ensuring that resources reach the communities that need them most.
This Annual Report reflects not only the achievements of the past year, but also the dedication, teamwork, and operational efforts behind every programme delivered.
Every day, FAF works across the entire food support ecosystem — from rescuing surplus food, managing food safety and logistics, coordinating volunteers, working with partners, and delivering assistance to communities facing food insecurity.
Behind every successful food distribution is a network of people working together. It involves careful planning, strong coordination, and the commitment of our staff, volunteers, donors, corporate partners, and community organisations.
While the numbers in this report represent the scale of our work, the true impact lies in the people behind those numbers — families supported, communities strengthened, and individuals given renewed hope during challenging times.
Beyond immediate food assistance, FAF continues to develop initiatives that create longer-term impact, including surplus food redistribution, fresh produce recovery through the Green Market Initiative, emergency response efforts, community engagement, and empowerment programmes that build skills and opportunities.
As the demand for support continues to grow, we recognise the importance of strengthening our systems, expanding partnerships, and improving our ability to serve communities effectively.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the FAF team for their dedication and resilience. Their commitment behind the scenes is what turns our mission into action every day.
